Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
This policy explains what data DueDateLab collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Plain language, no dark patterns.
Data controller
DueDateLab is operated by Ido Shimoni, a private individual based in Antwerp, Belgium. For any privacy-related request you can reach us at [email protected]. If you prefer postal contact, write to the email above and we will provide a mailing address on request.
What we collect
Inputs you type into calculators (dates, weights, ages) are processed in your browser only. We never send these values to our servers or store them. Close the tab and the data is gone.
Analytics via Google Analytics 4. When you give consent through our cookie banner, we load Google Analytics 4 to count visits and understand which pages are useful. GA4 captures: page URL, referrer, approximate country and region, device type, browser, screen size, language, and interaction events (scrolls, outbound clicks, file downloads). IP addresses are used only to derive approximate geography and are not stored in identifiable form (IP anonymization is enabled). If you decline or ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is sent to Google from your session. You can review Google's practices in the Google Privacy Policy.
Cookies for consent and preference. A small item in your browser's local storage (pl-consent) remembers whether you accepted or declined the cookie banner, and (where applicable) your unit preference on calculator pages.
Legal basis for processing
For visitors in the EU, UK, or EEA we rely on consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) for analytics and, later, advertising cookies. We rely on legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) for strictly necessary storage that remembers your consent choice and page preferences. You can withdraw consent at any time by choosing Decline in the banner or by clearing cookies and local storage for this site.
Data retention
We do not retain calculator inputs at all. Google Analytics event data is retained for up to 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted by Google. Aggregate, non-identifying reports may be kept longer for internal planning.
International transfers
Google Analytics and (once live) Google AdSense process data on servers that may be located outside the European Economic Area, including the United States. These transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and on Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable. Details are available at policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks.
Advertising
DueDateLab displays ads served by Google AdSense and other third-party vendors. These vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our sites and other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You may also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu (EU).
GDPR & UK GDPR
If you are in the EU, UK, or EEA, we rely on consent (for non-essential cookies including ad personalization) and legitimate interest (for anonymous analytics). You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing cookies or using the in-page consent controls. You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your national Data Protection Authority.
CCPA (California)
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" of personal information. DueDateLab does not sell personal information in the traditional sense, but advertising cookies may qualify under CCPA's broad definition. To opt out, use the Ads Settings links above or email us.
Children
DueDateLab is written for adults (parents and parents-to-be). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
