What we do

DueDateLab builds free, evidence-based calculators for the small quantitative questions that come up during pregnancy and early parenting: when is my due date, where does my baby sit on the growth curve, how much sleep does a toddler actually need. We show the math, cite the source, and get out of the way.

Our approach

Every tool on the site is grounded in published clinical guidance: the WHO Child Growth Standards, the American Academy of Pediatrics sleep consensus, ACOG's guidance on due-date estimation. Where a tool is based on folklore rather than evidence (the Chinese Gender Chart), we say so plainly and cite the peer-reviewed study that rated it at roughly coin-flip accuracy.

Editorial standards

• Source every medical claim to a primary reference, whether a peer-reviewed journal, a major professional body (AAP, ACOG, WHO), or a public-health agency (CDC, NHS).
• Distinguish clearly between clinical tools and novelty tools.
• Never present an estimate as a diagnosis. Always point users back to a qualified clinician for medical decisions.
• Review and re-source content annually or when the underlying guidelines change.
